the lips just for coming home... great last minute song change for the ceremony! the song, along with everything else that has to do with the day, from place cards to the music, all done by jenn and dave (more jenn though right :p) you would think a wedding that consists of so many details and collaboration would be chaotic. nope, not this one, from the minute we got there until we left was nothing but serene. that includes Jenn and Dave, cool as a cucumber some would say. all the little stories revealed throughout the day, whether it was about their many trips around the world, to cute anecdotes about her dad and his youtube channel, made for a very special and unique might i add day for sure! this is their story. stills <img and VERY entertaining. janet + josh travel the world together. of all the places they have been, the place where they got married was definitely one of the most awe inspiring. a village in the south of france, probably no more than 50 people living there, surrounded by friends, family, wine, nature, and good food. the story starts in new york really. while janet is originally from LA, she and josh met in NYC where he's originally from. fairly early on in their relationship, josh moved to london, and janet had a big decision to make. she followed her heart, flew to london, and never looked back. now, they have visits from friends and family to their london apartment once or twice per month, and have the opportunity to explore different parts of the world in between visits. you know, they'll go to morocco for the weekend… no big deal… :) they have a few quirks to them (like a charming level of germophobia), but who doesn't? but we were happy that the wedding itself had some eccentricities to it - otherwise it wouldn't be them at all. but it felt wholeheartedly them. this is their story. (otherwise it would always be empty). but every so often, winnie will surprise us with a freshly baked batch of cupcakes, and those make life worth living. we joke sometimes that we make friends for a living. but it's absolutely true. our little family is really tightly knit, but we're always looking for really cool people to hang with. and if you've read all the way down to the bottom of this page, chances are you're pretty cool. we'd love to hear from you. :) first of all, this isn't a business transaction to us. we do this because we couldn't imagine doing anything else, and as much as it's important for us to get to... http://www.youarenotcattle.com/angela-and-anthony http://www.youarenotcattle.com/following/youarenotcattle.com/angela-and-anthony Tue, 08 Jan 2013 18:22:42 +0000 you are not cattle / a slice of stillmotion.ca 2209196 angela is what you’d call detail oriented. their wedding was the definition of DIY. and it was the definition of green. but what we loved the most was how much thought was put into every detail. for us, it's not about how "cool" something looks or how it was done. for us, it's all about the significance behind the funny, the quirky, or the romantic. our favorite thing about the wedding was less about the wedding and more about signifying something that was important to both of them: it was the fact that the bridesmaids walked down the aisle with balloons instead of flowers. but not just that. each balloon signified a loved one who was unable to attend the wedding but was there in spirit. but then there were pickles, taters, and olives. no, not the foods. the dogs. a+a have three, quite eccentric jack russell terriers who HAD to be at the wedding. you see, these dogs (aka the kids) are the ones who wear the pants. not anthony, not angela… the dogs rule the family. so it was only natural for olives to be the flower girl, and pickles and taters to walk ange down the aisle. the only problem: if they’re not tired out, they’re gonna cause a ruckus at the ceremony! so what happened? well… you’ll just have to see. this is their story. that never grew up. when we met over dinner in san francisco they shared the many journeys of miffy and mr. bee. you see, they have this game they play where they put miffy or mr. bee in some interesting situations, snap a pic, and send it to the other while at work with the addition of a clever caption (mr.bee in jail, miffy on vacation). it all started years ago when they were in school together. they lived together as friends. jerry made a habit of asking winnie out. winnie made a habit out of saying 'no'. they were very close. so close that winnie was worried about losing her friendship. as school drew to a close, winnie purchased her first house. jerry was running out of time and needed to evolve his tactics. he began helping get the house ready for winnie to move in. during that process he kept running into all kinds of little things that needed to be replaced or fixed, with each thing buying him just a little more time. one night shortly before winnie was set to move out jerry planned a dinner. that was the night winnie decided to take a chance and they turned their friendship into something more. that was the night winnie was gifted with her first stuffed miffy. that was the night that started a long journey that continues to this day. like winnie and jerry, we wanted to capture miffy and mr.bee in different scenarios. as their day unfolded, we made miffy and mr.bee characters in their film which acted as a wonderful celebration of who they are and what it took to get them here. winnie never did move into that house and jerry never forgets to remind her what that means to him. since that day winnie and jerry have become even better friends. they are part of our mentorship program and we now meet with them monthly to help with their budding affinity for photo and cinema. this is their story.
